Appearance

It is a white light crystalline powder.

Indication

Used for Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's syndrome and drug-induced parkinsonism.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration: 1-2 mg per day, gradually increasing the dosage. The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 6 mg (taken in 3 divided doses).

Adverse Reactions

Adverse reactions are similar to those of trihexyphenidyl. Occasionally, it may cause severe mental disorder and anxiety, in which case the drug must be discontinued.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for patients with glaucoma.

Drug Interactions

Extrapyramidal reactions caused by reserpine and phenothiazines (except tardive dyskinesia).

Keep away from light and store in a sealed place.
