Compound Gentian Sodium Bicarbonate Tablets

Sodium bicarbonate taken orally can quickly neutralize and buffer gastric acid without directly affecting gastric acid secretion. Therefore, the pH in the stomach rises rapidly to relieve the symptoms caused by high gastric acid. Rhubarb has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis; Gentian has the effects of clearing away heat and dampness, and clearing away liver fire.

This product is a compound preparation, each tablet containing 0.2g of sodium bicarbonate, 50mg of rhubarb powder, 50mg of gentian powder, 0.0005ml of clove basil oil, and 0.0005ml of peppermint oil.

This product is light pink brown to brown flakes.

Used for excessive stomach acid, lack of appetite, and indigestion.

Oral administration: 2-4 tablets at a time, 3 times a day.

Mild nausea may occur occasionally.

1. It should not be used in combination with vitamin C, pepsin mixture and other drugs, because the efficacy of each drug may be reduced. 2. When used in combination with aminoglycosides, the urine pH may increase and the efficacy may be enhanced. 3. When used in combination with antimuscarinic drugs, the absorption of the latter is reduced and the efficacy is weakened. 4. When used in combination with quinidine, the latter's excretion in urine is inhibited, and a small amount may cause toxic reactions. 5. When used in combination with diuretics, there is a risk of hypochloremic alkalosis. 6. When used with iron preparations, the two drugs should be taken as far as possible, otherwise it will affect the absorption of iron. 7. When used with salicylic acid preparations, urine alkalinization can lead to an increase in the excretion of salicylic acid through the kidneys, thereby reducing the serum salicylic acid concentration. 8. When used with oral tetracycline, the pH of gastric juice may increase, resulting in reduced absorption of tetracycline, so simultaneous use should be avoided.
