Nifedipine Injection

Function and Efficacy

Nifedipine is a dihydropyridine calcium antagonist that selectively inhibits the transmembrane transport of calcium ions into myocardial cells and smooth muscle cells, and inhibits the release of calcium ions from cells without changing the plasma calcium ion concentration. Pharmacological action (1) This product can simultaneously dilate the coronary arteries in the normal blood supply area and the ischemic area, antagonize spontaneous or ergonovine-induced coronary artery spasm, increase the myocardial oxygen delivery in patients with coronary artery spasm, and relieve and prevent coronary artery spasm. (2) This product can inhibit myocardial contraction, reduce myocardial metabolism, and reduce myocardial oxygen consumption. (3) This product can dilate peripheral resistance vessels, reduce peripheral resistance, and can reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure, reducing cardiac afterload. (4) This product can delay the sinus node function and atrioventricular conduction of isolated hearts; electrophysiological studies on whole animals and humans have not found that this product has the effect of delaying atrioventricular conduction, prolonging the recovery time of the sinus node, and slowing the sinus node rate. Carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and reproductive toxicity No carcinogenicity. No mutagenicity. High doses can reduce the fertility of female mice; can cause teratogenesis; can cause miscarriage (increased drug absorption rate in fetal mice, increased fetal mortality, and decreased survival rate of newborn mice). Pregnant monkeys taking 2/3 to 2 times the maximum human dose can cause small placentas and chorionic dysplasia; giving rats 3 times the maximum human dose can cause prolonged pregnancy. The impact on human fertility is still unclear.

Ingredients

The main ingredient of this product is nifedipine, and its chemical name is 2,16-dimethyl-4 (2-nitrophenyl)-1,4-dihydro-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester. Molecular formula: C17H18N2O6. Molecular weight: 346.34.

NifedipineIngredients

Dihydropyridine calcium antagonists selectively inhibit the transmembrane transport of calcium ions into myocardial cells and smooth muscle cells, while dilating the coronary arteries in the normal blood supply area and the ischemic area, antagonizing coronary artery spasm, increasing myocardial oxygen delivery, reducing myocardial oxygen consumption, lowering peripheral resistance, and reducing cardiac afterload without affecting atrioventricular conduction and sinoatrial node function.

Appearance

This product is a yellow-green clear liquid.

Usage and Dosage

Shield from light and drip intravenously. 2.5~5mg each time, dilute with 250ml of 5% glucose injection and drip slowly over 4~8 hours. Adjust the drip rate and dosage according to the condition. The maximum dose is 15~30mg/24h. It can be repeated for 3 days and should not be exceeded. Oral preparations are recommended for subsequent treatment.

Adverse Reactions

After applying this product, the intravenous puncture site may be painful. Slowing down the infusion rate can sometimes avoid the burning sensation at the puncture site. Shortly after the start of the infusion, there may be a slight increase in heart rate and decrease in blood pressure, which usually recovers after 5 to 15 minutes. Other side effects are short-term headaches and redness and fever of the face and skin. Sometimes palpitations and lower limb edema caused by vasodilation may occur. Dizziness, fatigue, itching of the arms and legs, and low blood pressure may also occur. Sometimes angina pectoris is aggravated. In some cases, there are liver damage, rash, anemia, granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia and increased blood sugar (diabetic patients). When used in large doses, myalgia, finger tremors, and mild and short-term visual changes may occur in some cases.
