Indication
It is used for pulmonary and bronchial bleeding (such as hemoptysis) and digestive tract bleeding (hematemesis, blood in the stool), and is suitable for inducing labor in obstetrics, contracting the uterus and stopping bleeding after delivery. It is also effective for intestinal paralysis after abdominal surgery. This product also has the effect of reducing urine output in diabetes insipidus.
Usage and Dosage
Intramuscular, subcutaneous injection or intravenous drip after dilution. 1. Intravenous drip for induction or acceleration of labor: 1) 2.5-5 units at a time, diluted with sodium chloride injection to contain 0.01 unit per 1 ml. At the beginning of intravenous drip, no more than 0.001-0.002 units per minute, increase by 0.001-0.002 units every 15-30 minutes until uterine contractions are similar to those during normal labor, and the fastest is no more than 0.02 units per minute, usually 0.002-0.005 units per minute. 2) To control postpartum hemorrhage, drip 0.02-0.04 units per minute, and 5-10 units can be injected intramuscularly after the placenta is expelled. 2. Respiratory or gastrointestinal bleeding: 6-12 units at a time 3. Postpartum uterine bleeding: 3-6 units at a time.
Adverse Reactions
After taking the medicine, if you experience pale complexion, sweating, palpitations, chest tightness, abdominal pain, anaphylactic shock, etc., you should stop taking the medicine immediately.
Precautions
This product is not suitable for patients with nephritis, myocarditis, vascular sclerosis, narrow pelvis, twins, polyhydramnios, excessive uterine expansion, etc. It is also not suitable for patients with cervical dilation that has not yet fully expanded. It should be used with caution in patients with hypertension and coronary artery disease.

Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: When used for inducing labor, the indication must be clear and the drug must be used under close supervision. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
Drug Interactions
1. When cyclopropane and other hydrocarbons are inhaled for general anesthesia, the use of oxytocin can cause hypotension, sinus bradycardia or (and) atrioventricular arrhythmia in the parturient. When enflurane concentrations of 1.5% and halothane concentrations of 1.0% are inhaled for general anesthesia, the effect of the uterus on oxytocin is weakened. Enflurane concentrations of 3.0% can eliminate the reaction and may cause uterine bleeding. 2. Other uterotonic drugs used simultaneously with oxytocin can cause excessive uterine tension, resulting in uterine rupture or (and) cervical tearing.
