This product is a zinc supplement. Appearance
This product is a sugar-coated tablet, which appears white after removing the sugar coating.
Indication
It is used for anorexia, anemia, growth retardation, nutritional dwarfism and acrodermatitis enteropathica caused by zinc deficiency. It can also be used as an auxiliary treatment for pica, rheumatoid arthritis, intermittent claudication, hepatolenticular degeneration (suitable for those who cannot use penicillamine), acne, chronic ulcers, conjunctivitis, mouth ulcers, etc.
Usage and Dosage
Common dosage for adults, therapeutic dosage: 300 mg (containing 68 mg zinc) per day, taken orally in 3 divided doses. For long-term use, the dosage can be adjusted according to the plasma zinc concentration not exceeding 30.6 mu mol/L.
Adverse Reactions
This product has gastrointestinal irritation. Oral administration may cause mild nausea, vomiting, and constipation. Taking 0.2-2g can induce vomiting. Overdose may cause poisoning reactions such as acute gastroenteritis, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, occasional rash, gastrointestinal bleeding, and rare intestinal perforation.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for patients with peptic ulcer.

Drug Interactions
This product is incompatible with aluminum, calcium, strontium, borax, carbonates and hydroxides (alkali), protein silver and tannic acid. The use of zinc salts and penicillamine together can weaken the effect of the latter.
