Ambroxol Hydrochloride Tablets

This product is the metabolite of the expectorant drug bromhexine in the body. It has the effect of dissolving mucopolysaccharide fibers in sputum, differentiating and lysing them, thinning the sputum, and inhibiting the synthesis of acidic glycoproteins in the bronchial mucosa to reduce sputum viscosity and facilitate coughing.

Ambroxol hydrochloride. Its chemical name is trans-4-[(2-amino-3,5-dibromo-phenyl)methyl-amino]cyclohexanol hydrochloride.

It is white or off-white tablets.

Expectorant, suitable for various respiratory diseases accompanied by thick sputum and difficulty in coughing up sputum.

Oral: 1 Adults: 30 mg once, 3 times a day, long-term use can be reduced to 2 times a day; 2 Children: Children over 12 years old are the same as adults, and the recommended dose for children under 12 years old is 1.2-1.6 mg per kilogram of body weight per day

Rarely, rash, nausea, stomach discomfort, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur.

It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product.

1. Taking this product with antibiotics (amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin, doxycycline) at the same time may lead to increased concentration of antibiotics in lung tissue. 2.
