Appearance

This product is a colorless clear liquid, which is easily decomposed by light.

Indication

It is used for hemorrhagic diseases caused by vitamin K deficiency, such as neonatal hemorrhage, vitamin K deficiency caused by intestinal malabsorption and hypoprothrombinemia.

Usage and Dosage

1. Hemostasis: intramuscular injection of 2-4 mg once, 4-8 mg per day; to prevent neonatal hemorrhage, it can be given to pregnant women intramuscularly one week before delivery, 2-4 mg per day. 2. Antispasmodic and analgesic: intramuscular injection, 8-16 mg each time.

Adverse Reactions

1. Redness, swelling and pain may be seen locally. 2. Large doses may cause hemolytic anemia, hyperbilirubinemia and jaundice in newborns and premature infants. It may induce acute hemolytic anemia in patients with erythrocyte 6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. 3. Large doses may cause liver damage. Patients with impaired liver function may use vitamin K1 instead.

Drug Interactions

1 Oral anticoagulants such as dicoumarol can interfere with the metabolism of vitamin K. If the two drugs are used together, their effects will cancel each other out. 2 Large doses of salicylates, sulfonamides, quinine, quinidine, etc. can also affect the effect of vitamin K.
