Function and Efficacy

This product is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, and its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial proteins. It is effective against most Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria, as well as Chlamydia trachomatis and Rickettsia.

Ingredients

This product contains 2.5 mg of chloramphenicol as the main ingredient per milliliter, and sodium hyaluronate as the auxiliary material. Its chemical name is D-threo-(-)-N-[α-(hydroxymethyl)-β-hydroxy-p-nitrophenylethyl]-2,2-dichloroacetamide.

Appearance

This product is a colorless or almost colorless clear liquid.

Indication

Used for conjunctivitis, trachoma, keratitis and blepharitis.

Usage and Dosage

For external use, apply to eyes, 1-2 drops each time, 3-5 times a day.

Adverse Reactions

1. Occasionally, eye pain, vision changes, persistent redness or irritation may occur. 2. Bitter taste in the mouth. 3. Occasionally, children may develop aplastic anemia after use.
