Chloramphenicol eye drops

This product is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, and its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial proteins. It is effective against most Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria, as well as Chlamydia trachomatis and Rickettsia.

This product contains 2.5 mg of chloramphenicol as the main ingredient per milliliter, and sodium hyaluronate as the auxiliary material. Its chemical name is D-threo-(-)-N-[α-(hydroxymethyl)-β-hydroxy-p-nitrophenylethyl]-2,2-dichloroacetamide.

This product is a colorless or almost colorless clear liquid.

Used for conjunctivitis, trachoma, keratitis and blepharitis.

For external use, apply to eyes, 1-2 drops each time, 3-5 times a day.

1. Occasionally, eye pain, vision changes, persistent redness or irritation may occur. 2. Bitter taste in the mouth. 3. Occasionally, children may develop aplastic anemia after use.

Precautions for children: It is forbidden to use in newborns and premature infants. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Although this product is a local medication, chloramphenicol has a serious bone marrow suppression effect. It may cause serious adverse reactions in newborns and breastfeeding infants after use by pregnant and lactating women. Therefore, pregnant and lactating women should use it with caution. Precautions for the elderly: It is not clear yet.
