Ingestion of camphor oil or camphor liniment can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, headache, dizziness, fever, delirium, muscle twitching, epileptic convulsions, central nervous system depression and coma, and may also cause breathing difficulties, urinary retention, and occasionally respiratory failure and death. Taking 1g of camphor oil can be fatal to children.
