Mifepristone Tablets
Function and Efficacy
Mifepristone is a receptor-level anti-progestin drug that has the effects of terminating early pregnancy, preventing implantation, inducing menstruation, and promoting cervical ripening. It competes with progesterone for receptors to antagonize progesterone, and also has a certain binding force with glucocorticoid receptors. Mifepristone can significantly increase the sensitivity of the pregnant uterus to prostaglandins. The sequential combination of high-dose mifepristone and prostaglandin drugs can achieve a satisfactory effect of terminating early pregnancy.
