Irbesartan Tablets

Function and Efficacy

This product is an angiotensin II (Ang II) receptor inhibitor, which can inhibit the conversion of Ang I to Ang II, and can specifically antagonize angiotensin converting enzyme 1 receptor (AT1). Its antagonism to AT1 is greater than AT28500 times. It selectively blocks the binding of Ang II to AT1 receptor, inhibits vasoconstriction and the release of aldosterone, and produces a hypotensive effect. This product does not inhibit angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), renin, other hormone receptors, nor does it inhibit ion channels related to blood pressure regulation and sodium balance.
