Function and Efficacy
Pharmacology: Tadalafil is a selective inhibitor of PDE5, inhibiting phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) and enhancing erectile function by increasing cGMP. Toxicology: Animal experiments have found that large doses of tadalafil can cause vasculitis, but no genetic toxicity or reproductive toxicity has been found.

Indication
Treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). Treatment of symptoms and signs of erectile dysfunction (ED) combined with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Usage and Dosage
In healthy subjects, single doses of up to 500 mg and patients taking multiple doses daily with a total dose of up to 100 mg resulted in adverse events similar to those seen at lower doses. If an overdose occurs, standard supportive care should be used. Hemodialysis does not significantly improve the elimination of tadalafil.

Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Tadalafil tablets are not for use in children. Safety and effectiveness have not been established in patients under 18 years of age. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Not for use in pregnant or lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: No dosage adjustment is required based on age. However, it should be considered that some older individuals may be more sensitive to the drug.
