Prevent pneumococcal infection symptomatically.

Purified Pneumococcal capsular polysaccharide (23 serotypes).

Prevent pneumococcal infection, especially respiratory infection. In principle, it is suitable for people over 2 years old, and is especially recommended for high-risk groups, such as the elderly over 65 years old, especially those living in nursing homes; those with weakened immune system; those who are frequently hospitalized (such as due to diabetes, chronic bronchitis, respiratory insufficiency, heart failure, and tobacco or alcohol dependence); and those with immunodeficiency (such as due to splenectomy, sickle cell anemia, and nephrotic syndrome).

Initial vaccination: one dose (0.5 ml) Revaccination: one dose (0.5 ml) As far as we know, systematic revaccination is not recommended for those who have received the pneumococcal vaccine. However, revaccination is recommended for those who have received the pneumococcal vaccine for more than 5 years in high-risk groups for pneumococcal infection (such as splenectomized patients) or those whose antibody titers have significantly decreased (such as nephrotic syndrome, renal failure or organ transplant patients). In addition, it is recommended that children under 10 years old with nephrotic syndrome, splenectomy and sickle cell disease be revaccinated with this vaccine at intervals of 3-5 years. Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.

Local reactions at the injection site: pain, erythema (dark red spots), nodules, edema, these reactions are mild and transient. Rare Artis-type reactions have also been reported. This reaction is completely recoverable without sequelae, and most of them occur in people who already have high levels of pneumococcal antibodies in their bodies. Systemic reactions: Moderate and transient fever is observed in about 2% of vaccinated subjects, and fever exceeding 39°C is rare. Fever symptoms generally appear after vaccination and subside naturally within 24 hours. Other common reactions, such as lymphadenopathy, rash, urticaria, arthralgia, allergic reactions, headache, myalgia, malaise, weakness and fatigue have also been reported.

Those who have received this vaccine within the past 3 years and are allergic to one of the ingredients in the vaccine.

In order to avoid possible interactions between several drugs, any ongoing treatment should be carefully monitored.

Store at 2-8°C. Do not freeze.
