Nitroglycerin tablets
Function and Efficacy
The main pharmacological action is to relax vascular smooth muscle. Nitroglycerin releases nitric oxide (NO), which is the same as endothelial relaxing factor, activating guanylate cyclase, increasing cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in smooth muscle and other tissues, leading to dephosphorylation of myosin light chain, regulating the contractile state of smooth muscle, and causing vasodilation.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is: nitroglycerin.
Appearance
This product is white tablets.
Indication
It is used for the treatment and prevention of angina pectoris caused by coronary heart disease, and can also be used to lower blood pressure or treat congestive heart failure.

Precautions
It is contraindicated in patients with early myocardial infarction (severe hypotension and tachycardia), severe anemia, glaucoma, increased intracranial pressure, and known allergy to nitroglycerin. It is also contraindicated in patients using sildenafil citrate (Viagra), which enhances the antihypertensive effect of nitroglycerin.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: This experiment has not been conducted and there is no reliable reference. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: It is not known whether it will cause fetal damage or affect fertility, so it should only be used in pregnant women when it is necessary. Drug Interactions
⑴ When drinking moderately or excessively, the use of this drug may cause hypotension. ⑵ The combination with antihypertensive drugs or vasodilators can enhance the postural hypotensive effect of nitrates. ⑶ Aspirin can reduce the clearance of sublingual nitroglycerin and enhance its hemodynamic effects. ⑷ The use of long-acting nitrates can reduce the therapeutic effect of sublingual medication. ⑸ Sildenafil citrate (Viagra) enhances the antihypertensive effect of organic nitrates. ⑹ When used in combination with acetylcholine, histamine and sympathomimetic amines, the efficacy may be weakened.
