Function and Efficacy

Gabexate is a non-peptide protease inhibitor that can inhibit the activity of proteases such as trypsin, kallikrein, plasmin, and thrombin, thereby preventing the pathological and physiological changes caused by these enzymes. In animal experimental acute pancreatitis, it can inhibit activated trypsin and reduce pancreatic damage. Appearance

This product is white or off-white freeze-dried block or powder.

Indication

It is used for the treatment of acute mild (edema type) pancreatitis, and can also be used as an auxiliary treatment for acute hemorrhagic necrotic pancreatitis.

Usage and Dosage

This drug is only for intravenous drip, 100 mg each time, 300 mg daily for the first 3 days of treatment, and 100 mg/day after the symptoms are relieved. The course of treatment is 6-10 days. First, inject 5 ml of injection water into the bottle containing the lyophilized powder of gabexate, and then transfer it into 500 ml of 5% glucose solution or Ringer's solution after it is dissolved for intravenous drip. The drip speed should not be too fast, and should be controlled within 1 mg/kg/hour, and should not exceed 2.5 mg/kg/hour.

Adverse Reactions

In a few cases, local pain in the injected blood vessel, skin redness and other irritation symptoms and mild superficial phlebitis may occur after instillation of this drug. Occasionally, there may be rashes, facial flushing and allergic symptoms. In very rare cases, anaphylactic shock phenomena such as chest tightness, difficulty breathing and drop in blood pressure may occur.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for patients with a history of allergic reactions to multiple drugs.

Precautions for children: Children are prohibited from using this drug. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Precautions for pregnant women, and the use of this drug for lactating women is not yet clear. Precautions for the elderly: This experiment has not been conducted and there is no reliable reference literature.
