Function and Efficacy
Gabexate is a non-peptide protease inhibitor that can inhibit the activity of proteases such as trypsin, kallikrein, plasmin, and thrombin, thereby preventing the pathological and physiological changes caused by these enzymes. In animal experimental acute pancreatitis, it can inhibit activated trypsin and reduce pancreatic damage. At the same time, the increase in serum amylase, lipase activity, and urea nitrogen is also significantly improved.
