Compound Cefaclor Tablets

This product is a compound preparation. Cefaclor is a broad-spectrum semi-synthetic cephalosporin antibiotic. Its activity against penicillinase-producing Staphylococcus aureus, group A hemolytic streptococci, viridans streptococci and Staphylococcus epidermidis is the same as that of cefadroxil, and its antibacterial effect against non-enzyme-producing Staphylococcus aureus and pneumococci is 2 to 4 times stronger than that of cefadroxil. Its activity against Gram-negative bacilli, including Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, is stronger than that of cefadroxil, and is similar to that of cefadroxil. Its activity against Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella and Shigella is stronger than that of cefadroxil. 2.9 to 8 mg/L of cefaclor can inhibit all Haemophilus influenzae, including strains resistant to ampicillin. Moraxella catarrhalis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae are very sensitive to this product. Indole-positive Proteus, Serratia, Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas aeruginosa are all resistant to this product. The mechanism of action of cefaclor is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. The drug component of this product, bromhexine hydrochloride, can fibrosis and lyse the mucopolysaccharide in sputum, reduce the viscosity of sputum, increase secretion, and thus make the sputum thinner, easier to cough up, and keep the respiratory tract unobstructed.

This product is suitable for the treatment of patients with mild to moderate respiratory tract infections caused by sensitive bacteria and sputum. It can also be used to treat acute attacks of chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema with infection, sinusitis, etc.

Oral. Adults and children over 10 years old: 1 tablet at a time, 3 times a day. When the infection is serious, adults can take 1 tablet each time. Children: 20-40 mg/kg of cefaclor per day according to body weight, divided into 3 doses. In general, the doctor will determine the time to take this product. If you feel that your condition is getting better, you should also take it according to the doctor's advice. When using this product to treat β-hemolytic streptococcal infection, the course of treatment should last at least 10 days.

1. Possible side effects include: gastrointestinal symptoms, including diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, abdominal pain and vomiting. Long-term use of cephalosporins may lead to the proliferation of insensitive bacteria, resulting in gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea and pseudomembranous colitis. In some cases, temporary liver discomfort or cholestatic jaundice may occur. 2. In some cases, lymphadenopathy and proteinuria may occur. These symptoms will disappear naturally after a few days of discontinuation of the drug. 3. Allergic symptoms: such as skin rash, itching, flushing, difficulty breathing, fever accompanied by chills, etc. After taking cephalosporins, erythema exudation, exfoliative dermatitis, and Stephens-Johnson syndrome occasionally occur. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients should adjust the dosage or medication interval according to their renal function under the guidance of a doctor.

1. Probenecid will delay the excretion of cefaclor in the kidney. 2. In some cases, when patients take cefaclor and coumarin anticoagulants at the same time, the coagulation time may be prolonged. 3. The combination of strong diuretics such as furosemide, ethacrynic acid, bumetanide, anti-tumor drugs such as carmustine, streptozocin, and nephrotoxic drugs such as aminoglycoside antibiotics with this product may increase nephrotoxicity. 4. Clavulanic acid can enhance the antibacterial activity of this product against certain Gram-negative bacteria that are resistant to this product due to the production of β-lactamase.
