Sulfadiazine ointment

Sulfadiazine is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, similar in structure to para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). It can compete with PABA on dihydrofolate synthase in bacteria, thereby preventing PABA from being used as a raw material to synthesize folic acid required by bacteria, and reducing the amount of metabolically active tetrahydrofolate, which is an essential substance for bacteria to synthesize purine, thymidine and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), thereby inhibiting the growth and reproduction of bacteria.

Sulfadiazine zinc.

This product is a white or light yellow ointment.

Suitable for staphylococcal infections and boils.

After cleaning the wound with sterile saline, apply the ointment directly to the wound with a thickness of about 1 to 2 mm, and then bandage it with sterile gauze; or apply the ointment on sterile gauze, and stick a single layer of ointment gauze to the wound, taking semi-exposure, or cover it with sterile gauze for bandage; or put the sterile gauze containing the ointment directly into the abscess cavity to drain the pus, and add gauze bandage. It can be changed every 1 to 3 days depending on the amount of pus. For burn wounds, semi-exposed therapy is adopted, and the presence of fluid or pus should be checked daily. If there is fluid or pus, the dressing should be changed, otherwise it does not need to be changed. For bandage therapy, if it is a fresh wound, check it after 1 to 2 days. If there is no sign of infection, the dressing change time can be extended until the wound heals; if there is infection, it can be changed every 1 to 2 days until the infection is controlled and the dressing change time can be extended; if it is an infection
