Adverse Reactions

Gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea and diarrhea in extreme cases. Skin reactions such as itching, urticaria, and rashes. Long-term use in elderly male patients may cause gynecomastia. Long-term use may also cause gingival hyperplasia. May impair the ability to drive and operate machinery. Overdose may cause bradycardia and hypotension. Some cases may cause numbness at the root of the tongue, dry mouth, sweating, headache, nausea, and loss of appetite.
Precautions
Patients with hypotension, allergy to dihydropyridine drugs, cardiovascular shock, acute stage of myocardial infarction (within 8 days).
Drug Interactions
Combination with other antihypertensive drugs can enhance the antihypertensive effect. Severe hypotension may occur when used simultaneously with B-receptor blockers. When used simultaneously with digoxin, digoxin clearance may be reduced. When taken simultaneously with quinidine, quinidine concentration decreases. Cimetidine or ranitidine may slightly increase the concentration of this drug.
