Tetanus immune globulin

This product is a sterile globulin solution prepared from the plasma of adults immunized with tetanus toxoid, and is used for passive immunization against tetanus. Since it is prepared from human plasma, the chance of allergic reaction is very small, and the protective antibodies stay in the circulation longer (elimination is slower than horse antitoxin). Intramuscular injection of 250U of this product can maintain the protective level of immunoglobulin (0.01U/ml) for about 4 weeks. It is used to prevent and treat tetanus, which is better than using horse antitoxin. Anyone with wounds that are prone to tetanus, who has not completed the initial immunization with tetanus toxoid in the past, or whose immune status is difficult to confirm, or who has completed tetanus vaccination for more than ten years, must use this product for passive immunization.

This product is a specific immunoglobulin preparation obtained by immunizing with hepatitis B vaccine and then immunizing with tetanus toxoid to obtain healthy human plasma or serum with high tetanus antibody titer. It contains more than 90% of immunoglobulin G. The tetanus antibody titer per 1ml is not less than 100 units. There are two dosage forms: injection and lyophilized product.

This product is a colorless or light yellow clear liquid, which may have a milky luster and should not contain foreign matter, turbidity or indispersible precipitation.

It is mainly used to prevent and treat tetanus, and is especially suitable for people who are allergic to TAT.

Double the dosage for those with severe wound contamination. 4 Treatment: 3000-6000 units. Tetanus toxoid can be used for automatic immunization at the same time, but the injection site and equipment should be separated.

Generally there are no adverse reactions. Very few people experience redness, swelling, and pain, which can recover on their own without special treatment.

It is contraindicated for patients with a history of allergy to human immunoglobulin products.

Should be used alone.

Store in a dark place at 2-8°C.
