Vitamin D2 Calcium Fructose Injection
Function and Efficacy
Vitamin D2 must be converted by the liver and kidneys to become biologically active vitamin D3. It plays a role in regulating calcium and phosphorus metabolism. In this conversion process, only a part of vitamin D2 is finally converted into vitamin D3. Therefore, the biological activity of vitamin D2 is far inferior to that of vitamin D3.

Appearance
This product is a white translucent emulsion.
Indication
It is used to prevent and treat calcium deficiency, such as osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia, fractures, bone pain, calcium deficiency during pregnancy, lactation and menopause, dermatitis and allergic dermatitis.
Usage and Dosage
For children, inject intramuscularly or subcutaneously, 1 ml each time, once a day or every other day. Shake well before use. Do not use if water-oil separation occurs.
Adverse Reactions
1. With normal usage and dosage, adverse reactions rarely occur. Gastrointestinal reactions such as loss of appetite and vomiting are occasionally seen. 2. Excessive intake of vitamin D in a short period of time or long-term use of large amounts of vitamin D can lead to severe poisoning reactions. For example, infants and young children taking 200,000 to 400,000 units per day for several weeks or months can cause severe toxic reactions.
Precautions
1. Contraindicated for patients with calcemia, hypervitaminosis D, hyperphosphatemia and renal rickets. 2. Use with caution in patients with arteriosclerosis, heart failure and hypercholesterolemia. 3. Use with caution in patients with high sensitivity to vitamin D. 4. Use with caution in patients with renal failure.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Infants who are fully breastfed are prone to vitamin D deficiency, especially infants of mothers with dark skin. Infants have great differences in sensitivity to vitamin D. Some infants are very sensitive to small doses of vitamin D. The product of serum calcium and phosphorus concentrations [Ca]×[P] (mg/dl) should not be greater than 58. Long-term use of 1800 units of vitamin D2 per day in children may cause growth stagnation. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant and lactating women generally need to supplement calcium, but the usage and dosage should be in accordance with the doctor's advice. There are currently no animal and human experiments on the effects of calcium on the fetus. Pregnant and lactating women should not use vitamin D preparations. Hypercalcemia in pregnant women may be accompanied by sensitivity to vitamin D, and attention should be paid to dosage adjustment. Functionally, it can inhibit parathyroid activity, resulting in special facial features, mental retardation and hereditary aortic arch stenosis in infants. Precautions for the elderly: The elderly may have reduced secretion of active vitamin D, namely vitamin D3, and reduced intestinal absorption of calcium, so the oral dose should be increased accordingly.
