Econazole nitrate solution

This product is an antifungal drug, which is effective against Candida albicans, Coccidioides, Cryptococcus neoformans, Histoplasma capsulatum, Blastomyces dermatitidis, and dermatophytes. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic process.

This product contains econazole nitrate, which should be 90.0% to 110.0% of the labeled amount.

This product is a colorless or slightly yellow clear liquid.

Used for the treatment of skin candidiasis; can also be used to treat tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, and tinea versicolor.

For topical use, apply an appropriate amount to the affected area. For skin candidiasis and ringworm, apply once in the morning and evening; for tinea versicolor, apply once a day.

A burning sensation may be seen, and occasionally allergic reactions such as itching and rash may occur.

Contraindicated during the first 3 months of pregnancy.

Precautions for children: Children must use under adult supervision. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated in the first 3 months of pregnancy. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
