Tranilast Capsules

It stabilizes the cell membranes of mast cells and basophils, preventing their degranulation, thereby inhibiting the release of histamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine allergic reaction substances. It has a significant inhibitory effect on skin allergic reactions and experimental asthma in rats caused by 1gE antibodies.

Tranilast.

Capsules. Contains light yellow powder; odorless and tasteless.

This product is an antiallergic drug and can be used for the preventive treatment of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis.

Oral administration. Generally, adults take 1 tablet (0.1g) 3 times a day; children take 5mg/kg a day, divided into 3 doses. It can be used in combination with other antiasthmatic drugs during asthma attacks, or as directed by a doctor.

1. Liver: Occasionally, abnormal liver function may occur, which requires careful observation. Appropriate measures such as dosage reduction and drug discontinuation may be taken. 2. Gastrointestinal: Lack of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, and occasionally a feeling of indigestion may be found. 3. Blood: There may be a decrease in the number of red blood cells and hemoglobin. 4. Mental and nervous system: Symptoms such as headache, drowsiness, occasional heaviness of the head, insomnia, dizziness, and general fatigue. 5. Allergic reactions: rash, occasional allergic symptoms such as itching of the whole body, in which case the drug should be discontinued. 6. Urinary system: Occasionally, symptoms of bladder irritation may occur, and the drug should be discontinued. 7. Others: Occasionally, symptoms such as palpitations, edema, facial flushing, nosebleeds, and stomatitis may occur.

1. Pregnant women should not use this product. 2. Patients who are allergic to the ingredients of this product are prohibited from using this product.

Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: 1. Pregnant women (especially those within 3 months) and women who may become pregnant should not use this product. 2. Breastfeeding women should avoid breastfeeding when taking this product. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.

When used in combination with or discontinued with the anticoagulant drug warfarin, its effect may be enhanced or weakened and the thrombosis test values may be reduced or increased. Therefore, when used in combination or discontinued clinically, attention should be paid to observing changes in coagulation function.
