Ondansetron Hydrochloride Capsules
Function and Efficacy
This product is a highly selective 5-hydroxytryptamine 3 (5-HT3) receptor antagonist, that is, a new and powerful antiemetic. The mechanism of this drug in controlling nausea and vomiting is to antagonize the 5-HT3 receptors of peripheral and central neurons, thereby blocking the release of 5-hydroxytryptamine in the small intestine caused by factors such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and causing vomiting reflexes caused by the excitement of the vagal afferent nerves through the 5-HT3 receptors. This product has a highly efficient and selective effect, so it does not have the side effects of other antiemetics, such as extrapyramidal reactions and excessive sedation.
