This product has strong atropine-like peripheral anticholinergic and antimuscarinic effects, and also has weak ganglion blocking effects. It is characterized by its selectivity for gastrointestinal smooth muscle, so its inhibitory effect on gastrointestinal smooth muscle is stronger and more lasting. It also has varying degrees of inhibitory effects on sweat, saliva and gastric juice secretion. This product is not easy to pass through the blood-cell barrier, so it rarely has central effects.

Each tablet of this product contains 15 mg of the main ingredient, propantheline bromide.

This product is a sugar-coated tablet, which appears brown after removing the sugar coating.

Used to relieve cough and eliminate phlegm.

15 mg 3 to 4 times a day, before meals, 30 mg before bedtime. For enuresis, 15 to 45 mg can be taken orally before bedtime.

The main side effects and adverse reactions include dry mouth, blurred vision, urinary retention, constipation, headache, palpitations, etc., which can disappear after reducing the dosage or stopping the drug.

It is contraindicated for patients with hemorrhagic diseases, preoperative conditions, urinary retention, prostatic hypertrophy, glaucoma and lactating women.

Precautions for children: Not for use in newborns or premature infants. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Not for use in lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: The elderly are more sensitive to the commonly used doses of chlorpheniramine maleate and should be careful to reduce the dose appropriately.

Erythromycin can be decomposed by gastric acid due to staying in the stomach for too long, reducing the efficacy, the absorption of acetaminophen can be delayed, and the plasma peak concentration can be reduced; the plasma concentration of digoxin can be increased by taking this product together.
