Minoxidil Liniment

It is not clear whether the use of 5% minoxidil tincture is accompanied by drug interactions. Although there is no clinical evidence, orthostatic hypotension may still exist in patients taking peripheral vasodilators at the same time.

The main ingredient of this product is minoxidil, whose chemical name is: 6-(1-piperidinyl)-2,4-pyrimidinediamine, 3-oxide.

This product is a colorless or light yellow clear liquid.

This product is used to treat male pattern baldness and alopecia areata.

For topical use, 1 ml each time (containing 50 mg of minoxidil) is applied to the affected area of the head, starting from the center of the affected area, and massaged by hand for 3 to 5 minutes. This dose should be used regardless of the size of the affected area. The total daily dosage should not exceed 2 ml. After using this product, hands should be washed. This product must be used under the guidance of medical personnel and cannot be applied to other areas of the body. This product should be used when the hair and scalp are completely dry.

Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: The effect of minoxidil solution on pregnancy is unknown. Pregnant and lactating women should use this product with caution. Precautions for the elderly: The safety and effectiveness of minoxidil solution for patients over 65 years of age have not been established.
