Norfloxacin Lactate for Injection

Function and Efficacy

This product is a broad-spectrum antibacterial drug that works on both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Bacteria are not easy to develop resistance to this product. There is no cross-resistance between similar drugs and antibiotics. This product has strong antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria. In particular, bacteria of the Enterobacteriaceae family, such as Escherichia coli, Shigella, Klebsiella, Proteus, Enterobacter aerogenes, Serratia, Citrobacter, etc. are highly sensitive to this product. The minimum inhibitory concentration is generally less than 0.5μg/ml. Influenza bacillus is also highly sensitive to this product. Neisseria gonorrhoeae is sensitive to this product, and the minimum inhibitory concentration is 0.125μg/ml. This product also has an effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other Pseudomonas, but a higher concentration is required, with a minimum inhibitory concentration of 4 to 32μg/ml; since the concentration of this product in urine exceeds the above concentration by several to more than ten times, it is still effective in treating Pseudomonas aeruginosa urinary tract infections. Among Gram-positive cocci, this product is more sensitive to Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis, and the lowest concentration for inhibiting 90% of bacteria is about 1-2μg/ml. The lowest concentration for inhibiting 90% of enterococci and pneumococci is about 4μg/ml and 16μg/ml.
