Tramadol Hydrochloride Sustained Release Tablets
Ingredients
Tramadol Hydrochloride
Indication
Moderate to severe pain.
Usage and Dosage
Take it without chewing. The dosage of this product depends on the degree of pain. For adults and patients over 14 years old with moderate pain, the single dose of tramadol hydrochloride is 0.1g. The maximum daily dose is usually not more than 0.4g. Relatively large doses can also be considered for the treatment of cancer pain. Patients with impaired liver and kidney function should use it as appropriate. The dose for elderly patients should be reduced. The interval between two doses should not be less than 8 hours.
Adverse Reactions
Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, sweating, dry mouth, dizziness, and drowsiness may occur after taking the medicine. Coma may occur occasionally. In a few cases, effects on the cardiovascular system (such as palpitations, tachycardia, postural hypotension, and circulatory collapse) may also be found, especially when the patient is upright and tired. In addition, headaches, constipation, gastrointestinal dysfunction, skin itching, and rashes are less common. Motor weakness, loss of appetite, and urination disorders rarely occur. Psychiatric side effects are extremely rare and vary from person to person, including changes in mood (mostly high spirits, but sometimes also manifested as bad moods), changes in activity (mostly reduced activity, sometimes increased activity), and changes in cognitive and sensory abilities (impaired judgment and understanding). Convulsions have been reported in individual cases, but this situation generally occurs after injection of high doses of salt.
Precautions
1. This product is contraindicated for people who are highly sensitive to tramadol hydrochloride and patients with acute poisoning by alcohol, sleeping pills, analgesics or other psychotropic drugs. 2. This product should be used with caution in opioid-dependent patients, patients with unexplained confusion, disorders of the respiratory center and respiratory function, cases of increased intracranial pressure without artificial respiration equipment, and infants under one year old. 3. During pregnancy, the dosage of tramadol hydrochloride must be limited (only a single dose can be given). Long-term use during pregnancy can lead to drug habituation, and newborns will experience withdrawal symptoms after birth. If tramadol hydrochloride is taken immediately before or at birth, it will not affect the contractile function of the uterus and may cause changes in the respiratory rate of the newborn, but it is not clinically relevant. If used during lactation, the amount of tramadol hydrochloride in breast milk is 1/4 of the maternal blood content.
