Elastase Enteric-coated Tablets

This product is an endopeptidase that can hydrolyze elastin, collagen and glycoprotein, enhance the activity of lipoprotein esterase, prevent the synthesis of cholesterol in the body and promote its conversion into bile acid, reduce plasma cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, very low-density lipoprotein and triglycerides, increase high-density lipoprotein, prevent lipid deposition on the arterial wall, decompose old elastin and promote the synthesis of new elastin. The chemical name of this product is: Elastin hydrolase extracted from porcine pancreas.

It is clinically used for type II and IV hyperlipidemia (especially type II), atherosclerosis, fatty liver, and diabetic nephropathy.

Oral administration, 300-600 units at a time, 3 times a day.

The incidence is low. Occasionally, allergies may occur, and mild gastrointestinal symptoms may occur, such as abdominal distension, loss of appetite, etc., and pain in the liver area, dry mouth, and numbness of the lips may also be seen. Mild cases do not require treatment and can heal on their own.

Contraindicated in patients allergic to elastase.
