Pyrantel pamoate suppository

This product is a depolarizing neuromuscular blocker that can cause the parasite to spasm and be expelled from the body. It has a fast anthelmintic effect. The mechanism of action is: first the parasite shrinks significantly, then it becomes paralyzed and immobile.

The main component is pyrantel pamoate. The chemical name is (E)-1-methyl-2-[2-(2-thienyl)vinyl]-1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidine, 4,4'-methylene-bis(3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid) salt

Used for pinworm infection in children.

Rectal administration. Take 1 tablet at a time, once a day, before going to bed, for 3 to 5 consecutive days. When using, tear open the plastic package from the notch at the bottom, take out the suppository, gently insert the bottom of the suppository into the anus, and press the anus for a moment to prevent the suppository from slipping out.

Dizziness and rash are occasionally seen.
