Precautions
Patients who are allergic to the active ingredient of the granules: ambroxol hydrochloride or any other components are prohibited from taking this product. Patients with the following conditions must use this product under specific conditions and special supervision, and consult a doctor. Even if the above measures have been taken before, they should continue to do so. Patients with renal insufficiency or severe liver disease should be particularly cautious when taking this product (such as lengthening the interval between two doses or taking small doses). Patients with certain rare bronchial diseases accompanied by excessive secretions (such as asthenic ciliary syndrome) should be careful when taking this product orally, and must take it under the guidance of a physician, because it may cause secretions to block the bronchus. Patients with hereditary fructose intolerance must see a specialist before taking this product (see Precautions).
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: 1. Children under 2 years old: Orally take 7.5 mg (half a pack) twice a day. 2. Children aged 2-5 years: Orally take 7.5 mg (half a pack) 3 times a day. 3. Children aged 6-12 years: Orally take 15 mg (one pack) 2-3 times a day. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Preclinical trials and a large amount of clinical experience after 28 weeks of pregnancy show that there is no adverse effect on pregnancy. However, during pregnancy, especially in the first three months of pregnancy, the drug should be used with caution. The drug can enter the breast milk, but the therapeutic dose should have no effect on the baby. Precautions for the elderly: This product is mainly excreted by the kidneys. Because elderly patients often have low renal function, the dosage should be reduced or the administration time should be extended.
Drug Interactions
If used in combination with antitussives (cough suppressants), there is a risk of blockage of secretions due to a weakened cough reflex, so the therapeutic range of the drug must be carefully considered before combined use. If used in combination with antibiotics (amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin or doxycycline), the penetration of antibiotics into the lung tissue may be increased.
