Infuse through a peripheral vein or central vein. In general, infuse fat emulsion as slowly as possible. Adults: The infusion rate should not exceed 0.25-0.5 ml/kg of body weight per hour (about 10 drops per minute) in the first 15 minutes. If there are no adverse reactions during this period, the rate can be increased to 0.75-1.0 ml/kg of body weight per hour (about 20 drops per minute). The daily fat emulsion infusion time should not be less than 16 hours, and it is best to give it continuously for 24 hours. Adverse reactions directly related to fat emulsion are generally divided into two categories: immediate reactions: dyspnea, cyanosis, allergic reactions, hyperlipidemia, hypercoagulability, nausea, vomiting, headache, flushing, fever, sweating, chills, lethargy and sternal pain, etc. Delayed reactions: liver enlargement, central lobular cholestatic jaundice, spleen enlargement, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, transient liver function changes and fat excess syndrome. There are reports of brown pigmentation in the reticuloendothelial system, also known as "venous fat pigment", the cause of which is unknown.

Patients with abnormal fat metabolism (such as pathological hyperlipidemia), lipid nephropathy, severe liver damage or acute pancreatic hyperlipidemia should not use this product. It should be especially prohibited if the patient suffers from ketoacidosis or hypoxia, embolism or shock.
