Nimodipine is a Ca2 channel blocker. Under normal circumstances, the contraction of smooth muscle depends on the entry of Ca2 into the cell, causing the depolarization of the transmembrane current. Nimodipine achieves the purpose of relieving vasospasm by effectively preventing Ca2 from entering the cell and inhibiting the contraction of smooth muscle. Animal experiments have shown that the effect of nimodipine on cerebral arteries is much stronger than that on arteries in other parts of the body, and because it has a high lipophilicity, it is easy to pass through the blood-brain barrier. When used for the treatment of subarachnoid hemorrhage, the concentration in cerebrospinal fluid can reach 12.5ng/ml. It can be inferred that it can be used clinically to prevent vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage, but the mechanism of action of this drug in human application is still unclear. 1. Ischemic cerebrovascular disease: Oral. 120 mg a day, divided into three doses, for one month. 2. Migraine: Oral, 40 mg once, three times a day, 12 weeks as a course of treatment, the effective rate is 88%, about half of the cases can be basically cured or significantly effective, it can reduce the pain degree, reduce the frequency and duration of attacks, and prevent the appearance of premonitory symptoms for vascular, tension, cluster and mixed headaches. 3. Cerebral vasospasm caused by subarachnoid hemorrhage: Oral. 40 mg once, three times a day, 3-4 weeks as a course of treatment. For patients who need surgery, stop taking the medicine on the day of surgery and continue to take it later. 4. Sudden deafness: Oral. 60 mg a day, divided into three doses, 5 days as a course of treatment, generally 3-4 courses of treatment. 5.
