Function and Efficacy

The metronidazole contained in this product is an anti-anaerobic and anti-trichomonal drug; clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug, which has antibacterial effects on a variety of superficial and deep fungi, and its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic processes; chlorhexidine acetate is a quaternary ammonium salt cationic surfactant, which has a bactericidal effect on Gram-positive bacteria. The combination of the three drugs has a synergistic effect, which is not only suitable for simple fungal, bacterial or trichomonal infections, but also for mixed infections.

Ingredients

Appearance

This product is a white or off-white tablet with slight hidden spots on the surface.

Indication

Used for bacterial vaginitis, candidal vulvovaginitis, trichomoniasis, and mixed bacterial, fungal, and trichomonal infection vaginitis.

Usage and Dosage

Vaginal administration: Place the product in the posterior fornix of the vagina, 1 tablet at a time, once a day. 7 consecutive days is a course of treatment, and repeat the course after the first menstrual period after stopping the drug.

Adverse Reactions

Occasionally, skin rash, vaginal burning sensation, itching or other mucosal irritation symptoms may occur. Because this product can be absorbed from the mucosa, long-term and large-scale use may also produce the same adverse reactions as systemic medication, such as nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, taste changes, dry mouth, metallic taste in the mouth, etc. Epileptic seizures and peripheral neuropathy, the latter mainly manifested as numbness and paresthesia of the extremities. Others include reversible neutropenia. Allergic reactions such as rash, urticaria, itching, etc. Central nervous system symptoms such as headache, dizziness, syncope, paresthesia, limb numbness, ataxia and mental confusion. Elevated serum aminotransferase, fever, cystitis, dysuria, dark urine, etc. are all reversible and will recover on their own after stopping the drug.

Precautions

1. Patients who are allergic to azole (imidazole) drugs are prohibited from using this product. 2. Patients with active central nervous system diseases and blood diseases are prohibited from using this product. 3. Pregnant women are prohibited from using this product.

Precautions for children: Use with caution in children. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Do not use in pregnant women. Precautions for the elderly: Use with caution in the elderly.

Drug Interactions

1. Chlorhexidine is incompatible with soap, potassium iodide, etc. It is also incompatible with borax, bicarbonate, carbonate, oxide, citrate, phosphate and sulfate. 2. When this product is used in combination with oxytetracycline, the latter may interfere with the effect of metronidazole in clearing vaginal Trichomonas. 3. Long-term and large-scale use, after absorption through the mucosa, may also produce drug interactions similar to systemic medications, such as inhibiting the metabolism of warfarin and other oral anticoagulants, interfering with disulfiram metabolism and serum aminotransferase and lactate dehydrogenase assay results, and combining with liver microsomal enzyme inducers or inhibitors to speed up or slow down the metabolism of this product in the liver. 4.
