Function and Efficacy
This product is a retinoid compound that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in in vivo and in vitro inflammation models. The chemical structure of adapalene is stable and is not easily decomposed in air and light. In terms of mechanism of action, adapalene binds to specific retinoic acid nuclear receptors like retinoic acid, but unlike retinoic acid, adapalene does not bind to cytoplasmic receptors that bind to proteins. In skin medication tests conducted on animal models established with mice, it was shown that adapalene can treat acne and has the activity of regulating cell differentiation and proliferation. The mechanism of action of adapalene is believed to be to reduce the formation of microacne by normalizing the differentiation of hair follicle epithelial cells. In standard anti-inflammatory analyses in vivo and in vitro, adapalene is superior to retinoic acid. It can inhibit the chemotactic response of human polymorphonuclear leukocytes

Appearance
This product is white translucent gel.
Indication
This product is suitable for the treatment of common acne with acne, papules and pustules as the main manifestations. It can also be used to treat acne on the face, chest and back.
Usage and Dosage
This product is taken once a day, clean the affected area before going to bed and use it after it is dry, and apply a thin layer to the affected area of the skin. For patients who must reduce the frequency of medication or suspend medication, the frequency of medication can be resumed when it is confirmed that the patient has regained tolerance to adapalene. Do not use cosmetics that may cause acne and have astringent properties.
Adverse Reactions
1 The most common adverse reactions of this product in the first 2 to 4 weeks of treatment are erythema, dryness, scaling, itching, burning or stinging, which are mostly mild or moderate in degree. 2 Less common adverse reactions include sunburn, skin irritation, burning and stinging of skin discomfort. Rare adverse reactions include: acne redness, dermatitis and contact dermatitis, eye edema, conjunctivitis, erythema, itching, skin discoloration, rash and eczema. If the adverse reaction is serious, the frequency of medication should be reduced or the medication should be discontinued.
Precautions
Patients who are allergic to adapalene or any of the components of the gel excipients are contraindicated.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Its safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients under 12 years of age have not been established. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: There are currently no reports on the efficacy of this product in pregnant women. It is recommended not to use this product during pregnancy. It is currently unknown whether this product is secreted in breast milk. Because many drugs are secreted in breast milk, it is recommended that lactating women use caution if they must use this product and do not apply it to the chest. Precautions for the elderly: In clinical trials, the subjects were aged between 12 and 30 years old, so it is not clear whether there is a difference between the elderly over 65 and the young.
Drug Interactions
1. So far, no interaction has been found between this product and other drugs that may be used on the skin at the same time. However, other vitamin A acid drugs or other drugs with similar mechanisms of action should not be used at the same time. 2. The chemical structure of adapalene is stable. It is not easily decomposed in air and sunlight. Extensive animal and human studies have not found phototoxicity and photosensitivity. However, the safety of adapalene for animals and humans when repeatedly exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet radiation is not yet known. When using this product, avoid excessive sun exposure and ultraviolet radiation. The transdermal absorption of adapalene is very low, so it is impossible to interact with systemic medications. There is no evidence that the efficacy of oral medications such as contraceptives and antibiotics will be affected by the use of this product on the skin. 3.
