Function and Efficacy

This product is a derivative of ibufenac, and its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects are 2-2.5 times stronger than indomethacin and 26-50 times stronger than aspirin. The analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of this product are achieved by inhibiting cyclooxygenase to reduce prostaglandins and also by inhibiting lipoxygenates to reduce the products of leukotrienes, bradykinin, etc.

Appearance

This product is a white or light yellow suppository.

Indication

Anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs. Used for rheumatoid arthritis, postoperative pain and fever caused by various reasons.

Usage and Dosage

When using, take out the suppository, moisten it with a small amount of warm water, and gently insert it 2 cm into the anus. Adults can take 50 mg at a time, 50 mg to 100 mg per day, or follow the doctor's advice.

Adverse Reactions

1 Gastrointestinal reactions: mainly anal irritation, stomach discomfort, burning sensation, acid reflux, poor appetite, nausea, etc., which can disappear after stopping the drug or symptomatic treatment. A few of them may have ulcers, bleeding, and perforation; 2 Nervous system manifestations include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, excitement, etc.; 3 Kidneys cause edema, oliguria, electrolyte disorders and other serious adverse renal reactions; 4 Other rare ones include transient increase in liver enzymes, and very rare cases of jaundice, rash, arrhythmia, granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, etc., all of which are reversible.

Precautions

Patients with severe liver and kidney dysfunction and hyperallergic constitution are prohibited from using this product. Children should use it with caution. People who are allergic to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may have cross-allergic reactions to this product. This product may also cause bronchospasm in asthmatic patients who are allergic to aspirin, so it is prohibited for such patients. It is also prohibited for those with anal inflammation.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Use with caution in children. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product can pass through the placenta. Animal experiments show toxicity to fetal mice, but it is not teratogenic. Pregnant women should use it with caution. Precautions for the elderly: Liver and kidney function should be routinely followed up during medication.

Drug Interactions

1 When used with alcohol or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, gastrointestinal side effects increase and there is a risk of ulcers. Long-term use with acetaminophen may increase toxic side effects on the kidneys. 2 When used with aspirin or other salicylic acid drugs, the efficacy is not enhanced, but the incidence of gastrointestinal adverse reactions and bleeding tendency increases. 3 When used with anticoagulants such as heparin and dicoumarol and platelet aggregation inhibitors, there is an increased risk of bleeding. 4 When used with furosemide, the latter's sodium excretion and antihypertensive effects are weakened. 5 When used with verapamil and nifedipine, the blood concentration of this product increases. 6 This product can increase the blood concentration of digoxin.
