Etofenamate gel
Function and Efficacy
Etofenamate belongs to the fenamate class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It can inhibit cyclooxygenase and ester oxidase, thereby reducing the effects of prostaglandins and other inflammatory mediators, and exert its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. In animal experiments, it was found that after oral administration of this drug, its anti-inflammatory effect was better than flufenamic acid and phenylbutazone, but like the latter two, it has certain adverse effects of causing gastrointestinal mucosal ulcers. Each gram of its cream contains 100 mg of etofenamate. When applied to the skin, it can be absorbed through the skin and its active drug ingredients are effectively transferred to the inflammatory site, reducing local swelling and having good tolerance.
