Boric acid wash solution

This product is a weak preservative that combines with the amino group in bacterial protein. It has a weak inhibitory effect on bacteria and fungi, but is non-irritating.

This product is a colorless clear solution and reacts as a weak acid.

It can be used as a cleanser for skin and mucous membrane damage, and as a wet compress for exudates of acute dermatitis and eczema. It can also be used as an oral and throat gargle, a wash for the external auditory canal, chronic ulcers, and bedsores, and as a bactericidal solution for fungal and impetigo infections.

3-4% solution is used for flushing and cleaning skin, mucous membrane (cavity), bladder, and corneal wounds, gargling in case of stomatitis and pharyngitis, and wet compresses in case of acute eczema and acute dermatitis accompanied by a large amount of exudate.

It is generally not very toxic when used externally. If used for large-area damage, acute poisoning may occur after absorption. Early symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, rash, central nervous system excitement followed by inhibition, meningeal irritation and kidney damage. In severe cases, circulatory failure or (and) shock may occur, and death occurs within 3 to 5 days. The lethal dose for adults is about 15 to 20 g, and for children it is 3 to 6 g. Because this product is excreted slowly, repeated use can cause accumulation, leading to chronic poisoning, manifested as anorexia, fatigue, mental confusion, dermatitis, alopecia and menstrual disorders.

It is forbidden to take it internally and is forbidden to use it for large-area damage.
