Function and Efficacy
It is a precursor of acyclovir, which is hydrolyzed into acyclovir in the body, limiting viral DNA synthesis and thus inhibiting DNA replication. It has a strong inhibitory effect on herpes simplex virus type I and type II, but a weak inhibitory effect on herpes zoster, varicella herpes, varicella virus, Epstein-Barr virus, and cytomegalovirus.

Appearance
This product is white or off-white soluble granules with a sweet and sour taste.
Indication
It is used to treat varicella-zoster and herpes simplex type 1 and type 2, including primary and recurrent genital herpes. It is also effective for severe herpes virus infections and hepatitis B that are not responsive or sensitive to acyclovir.
Usage and Dosage
Take orally on an empty stomach before meals, 0.3 g/time, bid. For the treatment of herpes zoster, the course of treatment is 10 days. For the treatment of herpes simplex, the course of treatment is 7 days.
Adverse Reactions
Occasionally there may be mild stomach discomfort, dizziness, etc.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to this product and acyclovir and pregnant women.
