Compound aminophylline Baomazi capsules

Function and Efficacy

This product is a compound preparation composed of Chinese and Western medicines. The bronchodilator effect of aminophylline is partly due to the release of endogenous adrenaline and norepinephrine. In addition, theophylline is a purine receptor blocker that can counteract the contraction of adenine and other substances on the respiratory tract. Theophylline can enhance the contraction of the diaphragm, especially when the diaphragm is weak, so it is beneficial to improve respiratory function. Methylephedrine hydrochloride can excite β2-receptors, relax bronchial smooth muscles, and excite α-receptors to reduce bronchial mucosal congestion and edema; the two drugs relax bronchial smooth muscles and reduce mucosal congestion and edema with different mechanisms of action, producing a synergistic effect. The extract of the herb has significant antitussive and expectorant effects.
