Function and Efficacy

This product is an antibacterial drug. Chlorhexidine is a broad-spectrum bactericide; clotrimazole is an antifungal drug; and metronidazole has anti-anaerobic and anti-trichomonal effects.

Ingredients

Each tablet of this product contains the main ingredients: metronidazole (Flagyl) 0.2 grams, clotrimazole 0.16 grams, and chlorhexidine acetate (chlorhexidine) 0.008 grams.

Appearance

This product is white or off-white tablets with slight hidden spots on the surface.

Indication

Used for bacterial vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, protozoal vaginitis and mixed bacterial, fungal and protozoal infection vaginitis.

Usage and Dosage

Place this product in the posterior fornix of the vagina, 1 tablet at a time, once a day. Use it for 7 consecutive days as a course of treatment, and repeat the course after the first menstrual period after stopping the drug.

Adverse Reactions

1. Local reactions: allergic reactions, rash, itchy skin, contact dermatitis, blisters, burning sensation, congestion, thrombophlebitis, etc. 2. Systemic reactions: can cause epileptic seizures and peripheral neuropathy, the latter mainly manifested as numbness and paresthesia of the extremities. In some cases, long-term medication may cause persistent peripheral neuropathy. Other adverse reactions include reversible neutropenia, central nervous system symptoms such as headache, dizziness, syncope, ataxia and mental confusion.

Precautions

Patients with a history of allergy to clotrimazole, metronidazole or azole drugs.

Drug Interactions

Chlorhexidine acetate is incompatible with soap, potassium iodide, borax, bicarbonate, carbonate, oxide, citrate, phosphate and sulfate. If you are using other medicines, please consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product.
