Function and Efficacy
1. Pingkuisan has a very significant (P0.01) antagonistic effect on the mouse gastric ulcer model induced by restraint stress method and indomethacin plus ethanol. 2. It has a very significant (P0.01) therapeutic effect on the rat gastric ulcer model induced by pylorus ligation method and hydrochloric acid injury method. 3. It has a very significant (P0.01) enhancing effect on the contraction activity of isolated rabbit intestine, and it shows a dose-dependent enhancement. 4. It has a very significant (P0.01) antagonistic effect on the contraction of isolated rabbit intestine smooth muscle induced by acetylcholine (Ach) and histamine (HA), and shifts the dose-effect curve of the two to the right. It can promote gastrointestinal motility in animals and antagonize the intestinal contraction reaction caused by Ach and HA, indicating that Pingkuisan has a bidirectional regulating effect on gastrointestinal smooth muscle. 5. It has a significant (P0.05) improvement effect on the gastric mucosal function of rat model of chronic gastritis.
