Function and Efficacy
Chorionic gonadotropin is a gonadotropin secreted by placental trophoblast cells. Its pharmacological effects are similar to those of luteinizing hormone (LH), but its follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)-like effects are minimal. It can promote follicle maturation and ovulation in females, and transform ruptured follicles into corpus luteum, which can secrete progesterone. It has the effect of interstitial cell-stimulating hormone (ICSH) in males, which can promote the function of seminiferous tubules, especially the activity of interstitial cells in the testis, so that they can produce androgens, promote the development and maturation of sexual organs and secondary sexual characteristics, promote testicular descent, and promote sperm production. It is clinically used for infertility, luteal insufficiency, functional uterine bleeding, threatened abortion or habitual abortion, cryptorchidism, male hypogonadism, etc. If this product is used in combination with menopausal gonadotropin, the effect is better.

Indication
Anovulatory infertility; luteal insufficiency; functional uterine bleeding; cryptorchidism; male sexual dysfunction; threatened abortion or habitual abortion.
Usage and Dosage
Intramuscular injection, 500-5000 units at a time. (1) For anovulatory infertility, 500-1000 units are injected intramuscularly once a day from the 10th day of the menstrual period for 5 consecutive days. (2) For luteal insufficiency, 500-1000 units are injected intramuscularly daily from the 15th to the 17th day of the menstrual period (3 days after the basal body temperature rises), and it is used for 5 consecutive days. (3) For functional uterine bleeding, 300-1500 units are injected intramuscularly daily for 3-5 consecutive days. (4) For cryptorchidism, for children under 10 years old, 500-1000 units are injected intramuscularly each time, and for children aged 10-14 years old, 1500 units are injected intramuscularly each time, 2-3 times a week, and it is used for 4-8 weeks. (5) For male sexual dysfunction, 4000 units are injected intramuscularly once, 3 times a week. (6) For threatened abortion or habitual abortion, inject 3,000 to 5,000 units intramuscularly once a day or every other day, for a total of 5 to 10 times.
