Cyclosporine Injection

Function and Efficacy

Cyclosporine is a cyclic polypeptide containing 11 amino acids and is a T lymphocyte function regulator. Animal experiments have shown that cyclosporine can prolong the survival of allogeneic transplanted organs and tissues such as skin, heart, kidney, pancreas, bone marrow, small intestine and lung, and is a highly effective immunosuppressant. Studies have shown that cyclosporine can inhibit the development of cell-mediated reactions including allogeneic transplant immunity, delayed skin hypersensitivity, experimental allergic encephalomyelitis, and Freund's adjuvant arthritis.

Ingredients

The main ingredients of this product and their chemical names are: cyclosporine, [[(E)(2S, 3R, 4R)-3-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-(methylamino)-6-octenoyl]-L-2-aminobutyryl-N-methylglycyl-N-methyl-L-leucyl-L-valyl-N-methyl-L-leucyl-L-alanyl-D-alanyl-N-methyl-L-leucyl-N-methyl-L-leucyl-N-methyl-L-leucyl-N-methyl-L-valyl,

Indication

For treatment: 1. Organ transplantation: 1) Prevention of rejection of kidney, liver, heart, combined heart-lung, lung and pancreas transplants. 2) Treatment of transplant rejection in patients before receiving other immunosuppressants. Due to the risk of allergy to this product (see Precautions), this product can only be intravenously infused when oral administration is not possible (such as just after surgery) or gastrointestinal absorption is impaired. Such patients should switch to oral cyclosporine treatment as soon as possible; 2. Bone marrow transplantation: 1) Prevention of rejection after transplantation. 2) Initial prevention and treatment of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).

Usage and Dosage

The concentrate of this product should be diluted with normal saline or 5% glucose solution at a ratio of 1:20 or 1:100, and then slowly injected into the vein over 2-6 hours. Once diluted, the solution must be used within 48 hours or discarded. Dosage and Usage: The following dosage is for reference. The recommended dosage is 3-5 mg/kg, which is about 1/3 of the oral dose. Daily monitoring of cyclosporine levels in the blood is essential. Monoclonal antibody enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay can be used for monitoring. The actual dosage of different patients is determined based on the measurement results, thereby obtaining the target concentration (see the prevention section for information on blood level monitoring).
