Ambroxol Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection

1 Pharmacological action This product has the characteristics of promoting mucus elimination and dissolving secretions. It can promote the elimination of viscous secretions in the respiratory tract and reduce mucus retention, thus significantly promoting expectoration and improving respiratory conditions. When this product is used for treatment, the patient's mucus secretion can return to normal. Cough and sputum volume are usually significantly reduced, and the surfactant on the respiratory mucosa can thus play its normal protective function. 2 Toxicological action The toxicity index of ambroxol hydrochloride in acute toxicity tests is very low. Ames test and micronucleus test show that ambroxol hydrochloride is not mutagenic. Carcinogenicity studies in mice and rats show that ambroxol hydrochloride is not carcinogenic.

1. Suitable for acute and chronic respiratory diseases accompanied by abnormal sputum secretion and poor sputum removal function, such as acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis, bronchiectasis and bronchial asthma; 2. Preventive treatment of postoperative pulmonary complications; 3. Treatment of premature infants and newborns with infant respiratory distress syndrome (IRDS).

Prevention and treatment: Adults and children over 12 years old: 2-3 times a day, 1/2 bottle each time, slow intravenous drip, severe cases can be increased to 1 bottle each time. Children aged 6-12 years old: 2-3 times a day, 1/2 bottle each time, slow intravenous drip. Children aged 2-6 years old: 3 times a day, 1/4 bottle each time, slow intravenous drip. Children under 2 years old: 2 times a day, 1/4 bottle each time, slow intravenous drip. Treatment of infant respiratory distress syndrome (IRDS): The total daily dosage is 30 mg/kg calculated based on the infant's weight, divided into 4 doses, slow intravenous drip.

Ambroxol hydrochloride and glucose injection is usually well tolerated, with occasional reports of mild upper gastrointestinal side effects (mainly heartburn, indigestion, and occasional nausea and vomiting). Allergic reactions rarely occur, mainly rash, and severe acute allergic reactions have been reported in rare cases, but their relevance to ambroxol hydrochloride is uncertain, as some of these patients are usually allergic to other substances.

Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution in pregnant and lactating women.

The synergistic treatment of ambroxol hydrochloride and antibiotics (amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin, doxycycline) can increase the concentration of antibiotics in lung tissue. There are no reports of clinically relevant adverse reactions when used in combination with other drugs.
