Nefopam Hydrochloride Injection

This product is a new type of non-narcotic analgesic, with mild antipyretic and muscle relaxant effects. The chemical structure belongs to cyclized o-methylbenzylamine. Therefore, it does not have the characteristics of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, nor is it an opioid receptor agonist. It is effective for moderate and severe pain. An intramuscular injection of 20 mg of this product is equivalent to the effect of 12 mg of morphine. It has a mild respiratory depressant effect. It has no inhibitory effect on the circulatory system. There is no tolerance and dependence. Acute toxicity LD50 (mg/kg): mice, oral 66.6; intraperitoneal 28.7; intravenous 21.9. Rats, oral 178; intramuscular injection 56.9.

Nefopam Hydrochloride

It is used for postoperative analgesia, cancer pain, acute traumatic pain. It is also used for visceral smooth muscle colic such as acute gastritis, biliary ascariasis, ureteral stones, etc. It is also used as an auxiliary drug for local anesthesia, acupuncture anesthesia, etc.

Intramuscular or intravenous injection: 20 mg at a time, or every 3 to 4 hours if necessary.

When the effects occur, there are often drowsiness, nausea, sweating, dizziness, headache, etc. But it usually does not last long. Occasionally, dry mouth, dizziness, and rash are seen.

It is contraindicated in patients with severe cardiovascular disease, myocardial infarction or convulsions.

Keep away from light and store in a sealed container.
