Compound Liver Extract Capsules
Function and Efficacy
The liver extract in this product contains vitamin B12, folic acid, etc. Vitamin B12, as a coenzyme, participates in methyl conversion and folic acid metabolism in the body, promotes the production of tetrahydrofolate, and participates in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, affecting protein and fat metabolism. It is an essential substance for the growth and maturation of red blood cells and the maintenance of the integrity of the central and peripheral nerve myelin sheath. Folic acid is a water-soluble B vitamin, an essential substance for cell growth and division, and is reduced to tetrahydrofolate in the body; it transfers one-carbon units to participate in the synthesis of nucleic acids and amino acids in the body, and has a common role with vitamin B12 in promoting the growth and maturation of red blood cells. Ammonium ferric citrate is trivalent iron, which is the raw material for red blood cells to synthesize heme. Vitamin B1 in this product combines with adenosine triphosphate in the body to form a cocarboxylase, participates in sugar metabolism, and can inhibit the activity of cholinesterase to maintain the function of nerves and digestive tract. Vitamin B2 is the main coenzyme for tissue respiration and may be related to maintaining the integrity of red blood cells. Dry yeast contains a variety of B vitamins.

Drug Interactions
1. Calcium-, phosphate-, tannic acid-containing drugs, antacids and strong tea can reduce the absorption of iron. The use of cimetidine, deferoxamine, dimercaprol, pancreatic enzymes, pancreatic lipase, etc. can also affect the absorption of iron. 2. This product can reduce the absorption of each other when taken together with tetracycline drugs. 3. Cholestyramine can combine with vitamin B12 to reduce the absorption of the latter. 4. Methotrexate and pyrimethamine can inhibit tetrahydrofolate reductase and prevent folic acid from being converted into tetrahydrofolate, so the former two drugs have a mutual antagonistic effect with folic acid. 5. Large doses of folic acid can antagonize the anti-epileptic effect of phenytoin sodium, phenobarbital and primidone.
