Glucose and Sodium Chloride Injection

Function and Efficacy

[Pharmacology and Toxicology] Sodium and chloride are important components of extracellular fluid. An appropriate amount of sodium chloride can maintain normal blood and extracellular fluid volume and osmotic pressure. The sodium concentration in human serum remains constant, generally at 135~145mmol/L. The loss of sodium chloride is often accompanied by water loss. Different loss ratios can cause hyperosmotic or hypoosmotic blood. Glucose is an important nutrient for the human body. Each 1g of glucose can produce 4 kcal of heat energy, so it is used to supplement calories. Glucose and sodium chloride injection can be used to supplement water, calories, electrolytes, and maintain the stability of body fluid volume and osmotic pressure. [Pharmacokinetics] The glucose contained in this product can be converted into glycogen and fat for storage. Sodium is mainly excreted from the body by the kidneys.
