Indication

Relieve various forms of angina pectoris, prevent angina attacks, acute myocardial infarction, acute left heart failure (acute myocardial insufficiency with acute impairment of left ventricular function), catheter-induced coronary artery spasm during coronary angiography.

Usage and Dosage

For the prevention of coronary artery spasm and the initial onset of angina pectoris, use 1-2 sprays. For acute myocardial infarction or acute left heart failure, use 1-3 sprays. If the effect is not good, repeat the same dose after 10 minutes.

Adverse Reactions

Headaches are common when starting to use the drug. Low blood pressure and orthostatic hypotension may occasionally occur when the drug is first used or when the dose is increased. This may reflexively cause rapid heartbeat, drowsiness, dizziness, and general weakness. A sharp drop in blood pressure is rare. If this occurs, the symptoms of angina pectoris may worsen. Nausea, vomiting, transient skin flushing, and skin allergic reactions may occur occasionally. Collapse, heart rhythm disturbances, and bradycardia may occur occasionally. Some users may develop exfoliative dermatitis. There have been reports of drug resistance or cross-resistance with other nitro compounds, and attenuation of its hemodynamic effects has been observed. This product may affect the ability to drive and operate machinery. .

Precautions

Patients who are allergic to nitro compounds, acute circulatory failure (shock, circulatory disorders), severe hypotension (systolic blood pressure below 90 mmHg), cardiogenic shock (unless adequate left ventricular end-diastolic pressure can be ensured by intra-aortic counterpulsation or positive inotropic drugs), myocardial diseases with reduced cardiac volume (such as hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy), constrictive pericarditis, cardiac tamponade, and primary pulmonary hypertension (because it can increase the blood supply to poorly ventilated alveoli and cause hypoxemia).

Drug Interactions

Taking other vasodilators, antihypertensive drugs, beta-receptor blockers, calcium ion antagonists, neuroleptics, tricyclic antidepressants or alcoholic beverages at the same time can enhance the hypotensive effect of this drug. Patients who have previously been treated with nitrates (such as isosorbide dinitrate and isosorbide mononitrate) need a larger dose of nitroglycerin to achieve a hemodynamically effective concentration. Using this drug while taking dihydroergotamine at the same time can enhance the hypotensive effect of the former. When nitroglycerin and heparin are used at the same time, the effect of heparin is weakened.

Storage

Sealed, valid for 3 years.

Packaging Specification

Each 48 mg spray contains 0.4 mg nitroglycerin
