Function and Efficacy

Indication
Used to prevent and treat calcium deficiency diseases such as osteoporosis, tetany, bone dysplasia, rickets, and as calcium supplement for children, pregnant and lactating women, menopausal women, and the elderly.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 100-200 mg (calculated as calcium) at a time, 3 times a day, chew and swallow.
Adverse Reactions
Belching, constipation, and abdominal discomfort may occur. Hypercalcemia and renal insufficiency may occur occasionally. Excessive and long-term use may cause rebound gastric acid secretion.
Precautions
1. Patients with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria and kidney stones are prohibited from using this product. 2. Patients who are allergic to this product are prohibited from using this product.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Children must use under adult supervision. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant and lactating women generally need calcium supplements, but should follow doctor's advice. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
Drug Interactions
1. This product should not be used in combination with digitalis drugs. 2. Drinking a lot of alcoholic and caffeinated beverages and smoking a lot will inhibit the absorption of calcium. 3. Eating a lot of fiber-rich foods can inhibit calcium absorption, because calcium combines with cellulose to form compounds that are not easily absorbed. 4. This product is used with phenytoin sodium and tetracyclines, and the absorption of both is reduced. 5. Vitamin D, contraceptives, and estrogen can increase calcium absorption. 6. When aluminum-containing antacids are taken with this product, aluminum absorption increases. 7. When this product is used in combination with thiazide diuretics, hypercalcemia is likely to occur (due to increased renal tubular calcium reabsorption). 8. When this product is used in combination with potassium-containing drugs, attention should be paid to the occurrence of arrhythmias. 9.
